Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Jonesborough
Conducted by the Jonesborough Heritage Alliance, tours are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting at 11 am. Tours meet at the International Storytelling Center at 116 Main St. and are $5 per person. We highly recommend this tour for great insight into historic Jonesborough's rich past and seeing highlights of the beautiful downtown.

Jonesborough Farmer's Market

A community run, volunteer organized market that sells farm raised produce and homemade products. Saturdays 8am-12pm, live music starts at 9am. 

Wetlands Water Park
Acres of fun in the sun for the whole family. Slides, tubes, water bubblers, and more.

Music on the Square
A free town event held each Friday evening, May through October. Each week offers at least two different acts. Concerts begin at 7pm. 

Historic Bluegrass Series
Four major events spread out over Feb., May, July, and October featuring unique line-up of nationally known bluegrass and acoustic performers. 


International Storytelling Center
Bringing the spirit of storytelling to audiences year round. Opportunities include the National Storytelling Festival, Storytelling Live! weekly performers, and the community storytelling program. 

Historic Chester Inn Museum
Artifacts, documents, and photographs to help tell the stories of the land and the people who formed TN. Mon-Fri. 9am-5pm 

Oak Hill School
A fully restored school house to appear as it did in the 1890s.

The Gray Fossil Site and Natural History Museum
The East Tennessee State University and General Shale Brick Natural History Museum and Visitor Center introduces visitors to the 5-million year old Gray Fossil Site, discovered by a road construction project in May of 2000. The museum offers views of an ongoing fossil dig, interactive exhibits, education programs for people of all ages, and temporary exhibits that change seasonally.

Davy Crockett's Birthplace State Park
David Crockett's birthplace was along the banks of the Nolichucky River in Greene County, present-day Limestone, and he spent most of his life and career in the state.
